Making Mistakes

The worst feeling is knowing you made a mistake; you've hurt someone else because maybe you said the wrong thing or just didn't think. Perhaps it was both. Although, you've explained, apologized and owned the wrong, you're punished for it anyway.

No one ever wants to face consequences, but they are handed out to each one us as if we're standing in line to see the school principle.  The fact is most of us are hard on others, we may have high expectations, limited patience and a lack of understanding.

Friends and loved ones are not perfect, as the old saying goes "everyone makes mistakes." Soon, everyone will have their turn to make one. If we are surrounded by the right people, ones who listen, learn and vary their actions, we shouldn't hurt in the same manner twice. Although, hearts break more than once, hopefully the reason will be different and a little forgiveness can go a long way.

  1. This is a very powerful post - Making a mistake is one thing but having strength to take responsibility is at an even higher level. I like what you are sharing here.
