Every one's heard the expression, "people come into your life for a reason."
Don't you think it's interesting what these individuals are meant to do once they get there?
Everyone has a purpose.
Some keep you sane - walking along the right path
Others provide introspection and evaluation
And then, there are those who show you exactly what you don't want to be.
Relationships by themselves can turn into distractions; hot, short-term affairs; or life-long friendships.
Friends have several purposes: They watch each other go in and out of relationships, identify what purpose the relationship serves right now and are consistently providing feedback to the other one.
Be that wrong or right - the intention at least is more or less in the right place, or so you hope!
Relationships with the opposite sex turn into a roller coaster ride of emotions and sometimes you want to throw up and get off, then at the next turn, you're throwing your hands in the air screaming for more. Whatever turn you're on right now . . . enjoy it, it could be a very short ride.
The point is everything is always changing, there will be highs and lows in every relationship we have. Hopefully, we're just wise enough to know when the intention is true and hang on to it.
For Today
Secrets kept inside
Omissions quieted down
Rely on dignity as your guide
Rise straight, tall and proud
Identify your preferences
Recognize when to leave
This is me and it’s okay
I could be better without
Relationships can be idealized
It’s intriguing what is perceived
I may end up alone, but
I can find what I keep
Good intentions – realizations
Communication beware
Nurturing that connection
Can end in desperate despair
