Fears to Attach

When relationships develop, be that with friends or those who are more than friends - a bond naturally forms.
Attachment in most cases is acceptable and necessary, but then why can it come into question and become associated with fear.

Fear . . . see how that word crops up! I'm being to think FEAR in and of itself is the overall theme of this blog and is the entity, which manifests in each and every one us to some degree. The question when looking from one person to the next is how each individual can manage that fear, or better yet - over come it.

Ever wonder what in particular you are actually afraid of? My favorite is realizing you have fears of events, people, places, and things you never thought or knew were there.
It's a funny thing, fear.
It's a necessary facet of our life. It serves a purpose; keeping us safe or perhaps forcing us to be conservative at times if you're unsure or inexperienced. However, it can also turn stressful, domineering, debilitating, and exhausting.

For me, as soon as I think I've kicked one fear to the door the next one squeaks inside before the door closes.
The latest fear attack . . . attachment.
It is what I want, but then I'm afraid of what it means, how it could affect me, or more accurately, hurt me.
So, then . . . is the ultimate fear the "fear of getting hurt?" (please see entry dated 04.10.2009) Yes, that would be correct - that fear is still with me and now I feel haunted!

But, now I am aware of its origins and perhaps how I can make a permanent change. It's time to let attachment occur and STOP fighting and questioning everything that happens. Some things are real - some of those things could be great and if I want, have potential to be extraordinary.

Perhaps - fear is not the enemy - my own worst enemy can be myself.

The Final Call
No further contact
The entrance has closed
You silently knocked
All requests are opposed

Pathways are secured
Relief is surely composed
Hear tapping and the rapping
Fears continue to enclose

Issues to resolve
Keeps a foot outside
Every word exchange
Disintegrates your bride

Effects turn noxious
Suffocation is the price
Infiltrates the masses
Relinquishes my life
